Religion

Religion plays a very large part in Korean life. Contrary to what you might expect, Korean is not predominantly Buddhist any longer. It has become a diverse yet harmonious array of religions including Christian, Muslim, Judaism, as well as the traditional Korean religions. You will find people that share your faith regardless of how unlikely that may seem.

Churches are found almost everywhere in Korea and are often brightly illuminated. You will find them to be very inviting to foreigners, and you may meet some of your closest friends there.
