National Symbols

Korea is a nation full of national symbols and treasures. Five thousand years of history has been accumulated and displayed throughout Korea. From it's storied pagodas to it's famous burial hills, Korea is a nation which takes great pride in it's history.

Some of these are more recent symbols, including various locations to pay respects to the Korean War.

Some of the most popular national symbols of Korean Identity is the Korean Hanbok. This is a traditional dress and outfit worn by Korean men and women to certain events, such as weddings and ceremonies. You will often see people wearing this in the Spring as it is wedding season. Children have their own Hanboks as well. You may wish to buy one of these as a memento of Korea when you depart.
