Currency
The currency in Korea is as follows.
10 won
100 won
500 won
1000 won
5000 won
10000 won
A basic rule of thumb is that 1000 won equals 1 US dollar. So if you see an item at a store that costs 10,000 won it is essentially 10 USD. Some Schools will pay you in checks. These are easily redeemable at most locations. They are usually in 100,000 won increments.
